Priorities

Increase openness in decision-making, host town halls, and encourage public input without dwelling on past issues. 

• Welcome an open-door policy for all county elected officials, department heads, and county employees.
• Establish equally beneficial relationships with local city governments, adjacent counties, and state and federal agencies.

Infighting and political gamesmanship are not elements of governance. I will promote safeguards to ensure that our non-political entities stay just that, while bringing together people of all stripes to help Burnet County prosper.

Streamline county operations, review employee compensation fairly, and foster a positive work environment for better service delivery. 

Maintain fair voting processes with reliable equipment and procedures to build trust in the system. 

Focus on reducing county debt.

We're taking out tax notes to cover our budget; that is just bad financial policy. I'll work to help ensure financial solvency for Burnet County.

Focus on balancing the budget and ensuring fiscal responsibility to minimize tax burdens on residents. 

Partner with local nonprofits and schools to aid vulnerable residents, including children, the elderly, those with mental health issues and those in need of welfare services. 

Fully fund the sheriff's office, provide necessary equipment like new patrol cars, and support emergency management for fires, floods, and other hazards.

Develop long-term strategies for managing population increases, water resources, and environmental concerns like air quality. 

Prioritize maintenance and paving of county roads, along with key projects like bridges to handle growth and daily needs.
